Mobile phone Samsung Z. The mind-blowing Samsung Galaxy Z (2018) is far better than any smartphone in the world. Communication between devices in mobile networks is carried out using technologies that provide different data transfer rates

If you believe the latest rumors, then in the coming 2018, the range of top-level smartphones available on the market will be replenished with a new super-flagship from Samsung.

According to the Science and Knowledge website, the new product will go on sale under the name Galaxy Z (2018) and will have on board everything that we dreamed of before the presentations of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8. What exactly?

According to currently available information, the Samsung Galaxy Z (2018) will have a screen that occupies the entire front area of the front panel of the smartphone and a fingerprint scanner built into the display, combined with a touch-sensitive Home button that supports the 3DTouch pressure recognition function.

Corning Glass 6th generation will be used to protect the display, and the Samsung Galaxy Z (2018) itself will have a waterproof case with a degree of protection from dust and moisture that meets the requirements of the specifications.

As for the filling of the new ultra-flagship, in addition to an endless display based on a Super AMOLED matrix QHD (2960 x 1440 pixels) resolution, it will include a new Qualcomm processor: an eight-core Snapdragon 845 chip with an Adreno 630 graphics accelerator on board, at least 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of built-in high-speed UFS flash memory.

The main camera of the new product will be dual and based on two 16-megapixel modules with f/1.4 lenses. The front camera will have a resolution of 12 megapixels and support shooting mode with a blurred background.

Also, it seems we can safely count on the presence of Samsung's super-flagship wireless Wi-Fi 802.11ad, Bluetooth 5 and modules and a 3600 mAh battery that supports Super Fast Charge, which allows you to fully charge the battery in less than 60 minutes.

Impressive? Of course, you will have to pay for such a filling. And pay a lot: according to the source, you can buy a Samsung Galaxy Z (2018) for $850.

We should expect the smartphone to go on sale closer to next fall, 2018.

Samsung never ceases to amaze smartphone fans with its new models. The next new addition to the Galaxy lineup is the mind-blowing Samsung Galaxy Z.

This is an intermediate version between the two previous smartphones. The phone has not yet gone on general sale. But now, thanks to its style and functionality, Samsung Galaxy Zet is the leader in network monitoring. The main search queries are: buy Samsung Galaxy Z, Samsung Galaxy Z reviews, Samsung Galaxy Z specifications, and Samsung Galaxy Z price and review.

Specifications Samsung Galaxy Z

Let's look at the main distinctive features of the Samsung Galaxy Z. This model has the thinnest all-in-one SC-LCD display, which is 4.2 inches. It is powered by the Tegra 2 chipset. Samsung Galaxy Z processor with a flicker frequency of 1 gigahertz.

The Samsung Galaxy Z has a Cortex-A9 processor. Its chic, large and bright display, the resolution of which is 480 x 800 pixels, amazes with the clarity of reproduction. The Samsung Galaxy Zet monitor is capable of reproducing sixteen million colors and also supports multi-touch function. Dimensions of the new smartphone: 125.3 x 66.1 x 9.5 millimeters, the new product weighs 135 grams. The smartphone has a built-in 5 megapixel camera that can shoot video in HD format.

Unlike previous models, the smartphone has more than extensive hard drive capacity, it is eight gigabytes and this is not the limit; it can easily be increased using microSD cards. Moreover, the possibilities in this direction are truly incredible; the expansion volume is 32 gigabytes.

The new model incorporates the latest developments from Samsung. In particular, the basis for the new product was Android v2.3, which in turn is equipped with Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi elements. The smartphone has a 3G system, several connectors for microUSB, and a GPS navigator.

The battery of the new model fully complies with the latest requirements for smartphones of this class; it is nothing more than a 650 mAh lithium-ion battery. Such indicators allow you to talk continuously for 9 hours. As for the standby mode, the smartphone will work in it for as much as 620 hours.

Galaxy Z is equipped with a range of sensors, which add even more various options to the already huge list of smartphone functions. Let's start with the fact that the phone has a position sensor and you can use it regardless of its location in space. In addition, there is a built-in light sensor, an electronic compass that will help you not get lost in the urban jungle, and a gyroscope is also provided.

The price of the new model is a bit steep, but manufacturers hope that this will not scare away buyers and that new technological solutions will push the user to the decision to buy this wonderful device. Having made an approximate comparative review of models of smartphones already on sale, you will understand why this particular model receives such rave reviews.

As you know, in 2018, Samsung will launch three flagship smartphones – Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy Note 9, all of which are credited with the most powerful technical equipment on the market. However, according to data from many sources, the new items will be almost completely identical in appearance to this year’s models. Changes will only affect the appearance of the rear camera, and in some cases, the number of sensors. Against this background, journalists suggested that next year the mind-blowing flagship Samsung Galaxy Z (2018) will be shown to the world.

The Science and Knowledge resource believes that in 2018, Samsung may release a completely new mobile device, which will become something like a flagship above flagships. It will receive an incredibly stylish appearance, an absolutely frameless display, a dual main camera, a face scanner, as well as many other equally interesting features, one of which will be a fingerprint module built into the display, which will not be in the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9.

According to journalists, the Samsung Galaxy Z (2018) smartphone will receive a 5.9-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2960 by 1080 pixels (QHD+), a top-end 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with a clock frequency of 2.8 GHz, and a powerful graphics accelerator Adreno 630, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent flash memory, dual 16 MP main camera with f/1.4 aperture and 12 MP front camera with support for blur effect, as well as a 3600 mAh battery with support for Super Fast Charge function, which will allow Charge your phone from 0 to 100% in less than one hour.

Among other things, the future new product, which the South Korean corporation may release next year, is credited with A-GPS modules, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ad (a new standard), and many others. The Samsung Galaxy Z (2018) case will receive protection from water and dust according to the IP68 standard, and will also allow the manufacturer to support wireless charging with a power of up to 20 W.

It is obvious that with such technical equipment, combined with an absolutely frameless AMOLED screen and a mind-blowing design, the new Samsung flagship is much better than any smartphone currently available on the market. We just have to believe that such a phone really exists. According to journalists, the Galaxy Z (2018) smartphone will be shown to the public in August-September next year. Buyers will presumably be able to buy it at the start of sales for $850 in the USA.

Until October 13 inclusive, everyone has the opportunity to use Xiaomi Mi Band 4, spending only 1 minute of their personal time on it.

Positioning

The Tizen platform did not become an alternative to Android for Samsung, as it was originally intended. Moreover, in 2013, its development was actually stopped, and the only device that was ready was released a year later on the market of India and Bangladesh, where the Samsung Z1 became a budget device that was perceived by the local population as a smartphone, which in the generally accepted view is not what it is. somewhat reminiscent of the Asha series from Nokia. An inexpensive touch phone with an application store, music playback and other goodies that are important for buyers in the low price segment. Samsung did not dare to launch this device in other markets and sacrifice profits from sales of budget Android smartphones. They gradually began to forget about Tizen.

They planned to show the Z1 in Russia, but literally a few days before the announcement this device was canceled and put an end to plans to sell Tizen for the mass market. The second arrival of Tizen in Russia with the Z3 model is aimed at the corporate market, as well as solutions for the state; this is not a device for ordinary consumers.

I will not repeat the main thoughts that are set out in “Sofa Analytics”; it talks about why Tizen has a chance to become an alternative to Android in the corporate segment and what advantages it has. Let me just remind you that in Russia the Samsung Z3 will be available only to corporate clients as part of large projects. It will not be possible to buy this device for free sale, at least in the near future. Although it has a number of interesting features, which we will talk about in the review.

Design, dimensions, control elements

Externally, we see the usual Samsung; nothing in its appearance betrays a Tizen smartphone. The case is plastic, the side edging looks like metal, but it is also made of plastic. The back cover has a soft-touch coating and is very pleasant in the hand.

The phone is available in two colors, gold and black, I have the device in the second color.

On the left side there is a paired volume key, on the right side there is an on/off button. The top end is a 3.5 mm jack, the bottom end is microUSB. On the front panel you can see a 5-megapixel camera, as well as a proximity sensor. The central key is mechanical, there are touch buttons on the sides - a classic Samsung layout.

Opening the back cover, you will see two slots for microSIM cards, as well as memory cards.

The build quality is excellent; for its price segment, the device looks and feels top five. Dimensions – 141.5 X 69.9 X 7.9 mm, weight – 110 grams. The phone fits very well in the hand.

Display

Budget phones don't use SuperAMOLED panels, but an exception was made for this device. The diagonal is 5 inches, but the resolution is only 1280x720 pixels, 293 ppi. For a product of this class, the screen stands out sharply; in the settings you can select the screen operating mode and color scheme.

There is an “outdoor” operating mode, when the screen backlight increases and it remains readable. Of the minuses, I note the lack of automatic backlight adjustment. In this case, you can select fonts, their style and size, all the same as in Android.

The screen for a product of this class is outstanding without any discounts; competitors do not have anything even close in terms of characteristics. This is the strong point of the device.

Battery

By modern standards, a 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery is perceived as a typical, not very large battery. If we draw parallels with Android, then a 5-inch device with such a battery will not work for very long, it’s at most one day. But the organization of Tizen is such that in real operating modes the device shows stunning results that are simply impossible to believe, and you have to look at the phone for a long time and ask why it is still working.

So, here are screenshots of the operating time, there is no error on them.

Unfortunately, the utility does not show screen operating time, but in my case it is about 2 hours. In mixed mode, when you use the browser and other functions, you can achieve in practice 3-4 days of full-fledged work with a screen operating time of 7-8 hours. This is simply fantastic.

If you try to watch a video, the maximum playback time is 13 hours, which is slightly more than most Samsung devices, where it averages about 10 hours.

The manufacturer claims that with 10% battery charge you can get up to 33 hours of standby time. And this is without the maximum power saving mode, which turns all images into black and white and is similar to the similar mode on Android for Samsung phones.

Full battery charging time is about 2 hours.

The example of this Tizen smartphone proves that the problem of modern phones is often not in the hardware and the size of the batteries, but in the way the software is written, and a lot can be improved here. Tizen may not have many services that run in the background, but this simplicity results in record operating time. No Android smartphone simply can compete with the Z3 in this regard. This is an amazing runtime, and I always have dual SIM enabled, LTE and scheduled email checks. An amazing result, there are simply no other words.

Performance, chipset, memory and RAM

The model is built on the Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 chipset, quad-core processor, frequency up to 1.2 GHz, Adreno 306 graphics accelerator. A budget solution that cannot be evaluated by analogy with Android, Tizen performance is noticeably higher, and the same interface has almost no lags, it is quite fast, you can see this in the video describing the system.

The memory capacity of 1 GB is also difficult to estimate by analogy with Android; subjectively, this memory is more than enough due to the fact that the volume of programs on Tizen does not exceed 500-600 KB, rarely more than a couple of MB. The performance requirements are completely different, and programs written in HTML5 provide almost instant loading and excellent performance. The system pleasantly surprises, although there is a general lack of grooming; there are often small delays when moving from program to program, but they are felt. Rewinding also slows down when watching a video; there are clearly not enough hardware resources. But, at the end of the day, this is a budget device, and for its class it is excellent.

The built-in memory capacity is 8 GB, you can expand it up to 128 GB (in the video I’m talking about 64 GB, but in practice 128 GB works).

Communication capabilities

A standard set of interfaces, USB 2.0, there is a connection to a PC in Mass Storage mode. There is also BT 4.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct. There are no problems connecting wireless headsets, but various sports accessories will not work with the device; there are simply no programs for them (ANT+ is also not supported). Surprisingly, the Z3 can be paired with the Gear S2, which also runs Tizen.

Quite unexpectedly, both SIM cards support LTE Cat.4, which may be added in the future with a firmware update VoLTE, the bands are as follows: 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600.

There is also GPS, Glonass, there are no problems here, Here maps from Nokia are used for navigation. These are the standard choices for Tizen (my sample didn't have them).

Camera

Surprisingly decent front camera, look at the photo of Artem, he came out great.
